80 year old diabetic father went in for laser removal of one kidney and partial freeze of the other on 7 May. In 6 May pre-admission, he provided an advance directive supposedly tracked in his medical records according to the Administrator's office. Treated with morphine after post surgery, by 13 May had severe skin rash, and informed the family i was noted in records for the doctor to call.

14-17 May, he was constantly vomiting and was on an oxygen mask. 17 May transported to CCU with aspiration pneumonia and severe rash (and most likely sepsis) and coded. He had CPR and suffered with paralytic ileus, severe sepsis (treated with Eigris-unsuccessful), 24-hour dialysis (blood clot in right arm w/shunt), and highly sedated with medication to include morphine. According to some articles I have read, patients with paralytic ileus shoult not be treated with morphine. All of this factors concluded the survival rate would be 0 percent. He was on life support from 17-29 May until deceased.
