In Aug 2002 I was severely ill with E Coli in blood and post operative kidney drainage. I had one, only on a trial fibrillation. The doctor never gave me my synthroid for 8 days. After the one fib. he started me on Amiodarone and insisted that I needed it for my heart. He kept me on 9 months until I could hardly walk or move.

Also, he knew on June 3, 2003 that my TSH was up to 9 and never notified me or did he return my calls.I have now a paralyzed bowel plus neuritis that will not ever be cured, I have had 7 epidurals just to be able to walk I think he did this deliberately to see how amiodarone effect the liver as he did all liver tests frquently. He would not show the chart to his peers, refused to let me see the lab work. His nurse told me that they have a lot of patients on amiodar- one taking three times as much synthroid as I was given, which was 112 when he finally told me the TSH was up.

He never did tell me my thyroid was low due to the amiodarone. This hasbeen like a purgatory for the last 4 years.I learned onthe web that this drug was for final end of life heart fail- ure. When I asked him to explain to me exactly what was wrong with my heart, he turned white, said "Nothing" and ran out of the room.
